Activision Snowstorm's request to intermit its ongoing lawsuit has been rejected.

The developer and publisher tried to put the suit on hold following an ongoing battle between the Department for Employment and Housing—the state section presently suing Activision Blizzard for discrimination and unisexual molestation—and the Coequal Employment Chance Commission. The EEOC had also brought a lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, which was settled on the selfsame day it went public for $18 trillion (thanks, Law360).

The DFEH opposed the settlement, saying that it would cause "irreparable harm" to its possess lawsuit. The EEOC then hit back, revealing that two of the lawyers heading up the DFEH sheath had formerly worked with the EEOC happening its have investigation into Activision Blizzard—the same investigation that led to the settlement.

That's a bad big moral philosophy violation and a conflict of interest, something which Activision Blizzard could use of goods and services to get the case thrown out entirely. Information technology's tried to use this hiccup to its advantage, arguing that it needs time to investigate the EEOC's accusations. But it seems that Lanthanum County judge Timothy Saint Patrick Dillon is having no of it, rejecting the request to stop the suit. No reason was given for the denial.

The rejection likely won't deter Activision Blizzard from using the whole mess in its defence. While information technology hasn't been able to corrupt itself whatever reprieve, the debacle can still be used against the DFEH as a way to cripple the suit. IT's been a long and strenuous few months since the suit was filed, and an outcome seems unlikely anytime soon—though lawyers have offered up their opinion in our timeline of the lawsuit.

A fresh writer in the diligence, Mollie has been taken under PC Gamer's RGB-laden wing, making sure she doesn't get up to too much mischief on the situation. She's not quite true what a Command & Conquer is, only she can yap awa for hours about all the obscure rhythm games and strange MMOs from the 2000s. She's been cooking improving all way of news, previews and features patc she's been here, but especially enjoys when she gets to pen approximately Final Fantasy, Persona, The Sims, and whatsoever else halting she's presently hopelessly fixated on. In that respect's a good unplanned she's boring other PC Gamer author about her a la mode obsession as we speak.
